More Ring Sizing Tips:

  1. Make sure the string should wrap your finger comfortably so that the ring should fit your finger well enough so it won't fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle easily.
  2. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure both knuckle and base of the finger and pick an average size between two.
  3. Measure 3 to 4 times for more accuracy.
  4. If you are between sizes, order a larger size.
  5. Make sure your finger is at a normal body temperature -- fingers can shrink or expand when cold or hot.
  6. If your knuckle is larger than your finger’s base, measure both of them separately and choose an average size.

Other Factor Affecting Ring Sizes

You should also consider a few environmental factors before measuring the size of your finger:

Time of day

Evening is perfect time to measure your finger size. Most people’s fingers tend to get broad in the evening and get slightly smaller in the morning. Measuring your finger size in the evening will ensure a comfortable fit.

Weather Conditions

Human body tends to react to temperatures fluctuations, so the finger size can change depending on the weather. The fingers tend to shrink in the cold winter air while the reverse happens during warm and humid summer. Measure the finger’s size when it’s not very cold or very hot.

Thickness of Band

Rings that have thick bands (larger than 6mm) tend to stiffen up in fingers. It is preferable to always choose half a size up when you want to buy a ring with a thicker band.
